Kate Duvall
Kate joined Fratzke Commercial Real Estate Advisors in February 2021 where she works on transaction tracking and coordination. She is a real estate broker, licensed in the State of Oregon.
Kate is a native of the United Kingdom who grew up on her family’s farm and ranch in the middle of England. She has a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB. Hons) from Queen Mary University of London and is a Member of the Americas Chapter of the RICS (the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors – a UK based, globally recognized organization for qualified professionals working in the development and management of land, real estate, construction, and infrastructure).
She has lived in the USA since 2001. In her early years in Oregon, she worked as a researcher in the Portland office of Integra Realty Services Inc. Since moving to Central Oregon, she has carried out lenders’ commercial property inspections for Strategic Asset Services, LLC.
Her professional experience in the UK ranged across all types of commercial property and included valuations/appraisals for loan security, stock market, accounting, investment, taxation, and estate planning purposes, and ancillary negotiations with lawyers, accountants, bankers, and government agencies. She undertook complex lease negotiations for landlords and tenants, management of real estate assets in bankruptcy, and Quality Assurance/RICS ‘Red Book’ compliance supervision of other professionals’ work. Additionally, she mentored graduate trainees for the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence. Kate’s UK experience spans both the public sector (HM Inland Revenue Valuation Office and the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea Valuer’s Dept in London) and the private sector (Mellersh & Harding, Lambert Smith Hampton, and DTZ Tie Leung).
Outside of work, Kate likes to spend time with her husband and family, and her garden. Her interests include world travel (in non-pandemic times) and historical research. She also enjoys hiking, skiing, and appreciating all Central Oregon has to offer.
